How to Find the Right Ingredients for A CBD Massage Candle?

While there are standard ingredients that make up a CBD massage candle, like CBD oil fragrance oil, for example, it is possible to chip in a few things here and there.

Not only does this help you customize your DIY CBD massage candle, but it also helps you get that signature scent.

Finding the right ingredients depends on what works for you and what you want to achieve with burning a scented candle.

Rosemary, for example, is an active ingredient in most scented candles, thanks to its sweet aroma and stress-relieving properties.

Primarily, a CBD massage candle is a combination of essential oils, body butter, melted candle wax, and your special ingredient, CBD oil.

You can then get creative with the chosen essential oils or add other active ingredients to spice things up.

While it might look like your regular scented candle, once lighted, it burns to give off warm oils that are perfect for body massages and topical body products.

You can drastically lower your stress and anxiety levels, treat pain, inflammation, sleep disorders, and mood imbalances.

What Are the Benefits of CBD Candles?

Massage candles are not a new thing in the relaxation and meditation process.

CBD-infused massage candles, however, bring something bigger and better to the table.

Spas and yoga practices are beginning to adopt CBD-based scented candle into their massage and relaxation routines due to their many benefits, including health benefits.

When infused into a candle, CBD oils perform the same functions other essential oils do.

Depending on your level of expertise, there is a different way of making CBD massage oil candles.

The most commonly used base for making CBD massage candles is soy wax, either flakes or solid.

Body butter and oils such as shea butter, cocoa butter, jojoba oil, and CBD oil are added to the candle to produce a soft texture needed to be used as lotions.

Essential oils are added for their lovely aroma in the massage for their healing properties.

CBD Massage Candle Recipe DIY: How to Make Your CBD Massage Candle

Making your CBD massage candle at home is not a hard process, and you can easily get its ingredients from your everyday convenience store.

The primary ingredients needed to make your CBD massage candle at home include:

  • A wax base: It could be either soy wax or the common solid wax
  • Body butter: Cocoa and shea butter are the most prevalent and can easily be gotten at your skincare shops. They are also an everyday household ingredient in creams and ointments.
  • CBD oil
  • Essential oils
  • Candle wicks
  • Glass container
  • Heat source

Procedure for Making CBD Massage Candles

Step 1:

Put the wick in the middle of the container; glue it to keep it in place before pouring the wax into the container.

When you pour the wax in, make sure about 2 inches of the wick is remaining to trim off after the wax cools down.

Step 2:

With the heat source, melt the wax, mixing it with the preferred body butter over medium heat till you get a smooth liquid that’s evenly mixed.

Step 3:

After melting and mixing, remove from the heat and add your choice oils, including your CBD oil and mix consistently.

Do this immediately when you remove it from heat.

At this stage is where you add your special ingredients to give that signature touch to your homemade CBD massage candle.

Step 4:

Pour the mixed mixture into the glass container with the wick standing upright, some inches above the container.

Do not let the wick get stuck with the wax while it cools.

Step 5:

After proper cooling, the wax solidifies, looking like the candles you are used to from your convenience stores.

You can then light it and let it melt for about 10 – 20 minutes.

When it melts, you can scoop it on your skin for a proper massage.

There you have it, your very own CBD massage candle!

Conclusion

One great thing about CBD massage candles is that they can be used at any time.

Just burn for a few minutes, and you have your melted massage oil wax just waiting on you.

Just like drink flavors, people have their preferences when it comes to scents.

It’s as simple as picking a peach-flavored drink over a banana-flavored one.

It works in the same way with soaps and shampoos.

CBD massage candles also come with different signature scents.

While companies do their best to create a variety of scents that suit a large part of their target audience, it is only natural that what is on the shelf doesn’t do it for you.

Here’s another option for you; make your CBD massage candle fully customizable with our recipe.
